Honor Your Temple

  • The Barboza Method Studio 7611 Sunset Boulevard Los Angeles, CA, 90046 United States (map)

Join us as we practice the art of honoring the body as a temple. The session is sponsored by Bohemia Tea, our local shop down the street, so we'll begin with a lovely and fragrant tea ritual and light snack.

Then we'll begin building the foundations for our virtual temples with a slow deep stretch accompanied by beautiful music and essential oils.

First rooting down, grounding, building from the floor to the feet on up. Reaching, expanding, growing, becoming, standing, centering, finding strength, stability and release. This will be not be strenuous rather extremely relaxing, using mobility tools to find deep muscle relief.

Connecting to our bodies via nature (woodsy essential oils) using the metaphor of building a temple to inspire our movement. Creating an aural environment with the live soundbath allowing the participants to experience a somewhat virtual place, our temple, with guided meditation.

Let us honor our temples and find gratitude that we are here together in this beautiful time and space. Namaste!

*Therapy Grade Essential oils from Young Living will be diffused and given individually throughout the whole two hours so if you experience any opposition to lots of gorgeous natural pure smells this may not be the workshop for you.

Join us whether or not you're a studio member. You don't have to be flexible or experienced at anything, just open and ready to start building from the ground up!

Here is what to expect:

  • Tea by Bohemia (non caffeinated)

  • Essential Oils by Claire Proft (Young Living) - *you each get your own mini roller of Young Living Essential Oil to take home

  • Long Deep Stretch with Therabands and therapy balls by Sky Nicholas (Barboza Method)

  • Sound Bath by Kate Eipl (Eipl Healing)

  • Meditation focusing on honoring the temple of your body

Here is what to bring:

  • Wear comfortable loose fitting clothing you can move in or fitness wear.

  • We all want to stay healthy so if you don't feel well or have been around others who are sick, it's best not to come. (We'll discuss refunding your money in this case if you find yourself in this situation come the date of the session).

  • We have mats and props so you don't need to bring them unless you want to have your own for extra comfort since most of the class will be sitting or lying on the floor.

  • Water! Always a good idea to have your own bottle of water.
